Healing Through Music
The Music Centre was one of the first programmes to be established, led by the church organist, Carel-Johan de Graaff. Presently, it offers tuition in music appreciation and theory, recorder, violin, cello, guitar, piano, marimba and brass instruments. Recognised syllabi are used by professionally trained music teachers. An indication of the quality of music tuition is that, amongst 12000 applicants, all five of the Music Centre students who applied for entry to the National School of the Arts were accepted
