Our Core Values
The Foundation, coming from a Christian background, holds central to its value system that all people are made equal in the image of God.
We furthermore recognise that conditions put in place by systems and policies, in many instances negate people to attain this realisation that they are equal before God. This means that people have lost self-confidence, people become reclusive and unfortunately also anti-social in their behaviour and interaction with other human beings.
The Foundation therefore seeks to restore a sense of pride in oneself as an individual and human being, so that the assisted person begins to look at him/herself as a being with huge potential to succeed in life, to cope in life and to positively impact on his or her own future. The values that we seek to instill also in our program participants are the following:

Networking
Being involved with community work and community development is a mammoth task. We realise and believe that in isolation nothing will and can be achieved. It therefore is important for the Foundation to be part of local networks that have the same broad goal of improving the quality of life of people living in Hillbrow.
