- We presented three African Stories based on the collected stories by Hugh Tracey.
- The Outreach Foundation projects (The Boitumelo Project and The Hillbrow Community Music Centre) collaborated and utilised their combined talents to create this magical storytelling event.
- The success of this end of year production has made it an annual event.
2008 ARA Be Your Best™ Rock Challenge™ Award – 2008
- Hillbrow Theatre Project won the award for “Best Theme, Concept and Drama” at the event, held at the Johannesburg Stadium.
- Sixteen primary schools each had 6 minutes on stage, to perform a dance about a social issue affecting their everyday lives.
28th Sancta One Act Play Festival – April 2008
Facilitator Linda Michael Mkhwanazi and his St Enda’s group’s script, “Flat 309” , won the “Best Novice Production” award, as well as the “Sancta Best Community Theatre Production” at the 4th Annual Full Length Festival 2008 awards ceremony, held at the Actors Centre.
